Write. Help. Smile. Repeat.

We all need words now and then. Perhaps you’re considering a new approach for a lackluster website. Maybe you need the perfect ad copy to attract a specific audience. You may require marketing collateral for a trade show that was just dropped in your lap. That’s where I come in.

At Nouns & Verbs, writing is my focus. I string words together to entice action, plop them into phrases to elicit laughter, and weave them into web content that Googlebot can’t resist.

Think about it. If a picture paints a thousand words, then why do photos still have captions? Words can take us beyond the picture, or into it, or behind it, or wherever it is we want to go. And, to get there, nouns and verbs are only the start. I have some killer adjectives and adverbs up my sleeve, and I’m not afraid to use them.

Jusst Dale

Dale Dunning is a modern day saint who sets out each day to nourish the hungry and comfort the disheartened. This humble servant has created a unique ministry called Jusst Sooup that fearlessly goes where it is needed most. In 2009, Dunning was featured as a Hero of the Week in People magazine, followed by a Heroes in Hard Times appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2010. In 2011, Dunning was selected for “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” which included an opportunity to cook with Chef Michael Symon who wrote the foreword for this book. Author Debby Coughlan sculpts Dale Dunning in her purest form: a woman who is strong but vulnerable, clearly called to serve, and ultimately defined by the way she handles her own bumps in the road.

In the Middle of the Line

Told from a teenager’s point of view, this is the inspiring story of Baruch Talbott, a young orphan who grew up in the crosshairs of the Second Liberian Civil War near the turn of the 21st century. The fast-paced book is arranged in short chapters that capture pivotal moments in Talbott’s life, including unspeakable terror that tested his courage and resolve. His challenges continued after he moved to America at the age of nine. Reminiscent of his African heritage, Talbott recited his memories aloud and Debby Coughlan brought them to life with her written interpretation. The heartwarming, sincere account will inspire readers of all ages.
